Classic Rail Brakes (Electric or Hydraulic)
Classic Rail Brakes provide braking force along the rail by directly applying spring force on the top of the rail. These brakes allow large rail vertical fluctuation. They utilize the weight of a crane in the braking process. They are spring set and hydraulically released. Once released, the brake hangs above the rail at a pre-designed clearance.
