Deep Pile Foundation – Multipole Uglie

Deep Pile Foundations are designed to set your building on a bearing layer deep below the ground, using affordable and lightweight timber MultiPoles.

Timber poles, usually from Radiata pine, are sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests and are debarked, treated (H5 or H6) and the core is removed so they are hollow in the center.

They are available as Uglie poles, SED poles, or UniLog poles.

Uglie poles are debarked rather than peeled. This leaves a rougher finish, thus maximizing their interaction or friction with surrounding soils. Debarking retains most of the wood’s natural strength. The rough surface is also ideal for Ground Improvement as it allows the pole to interact better with the surrounding soil.
